Welcome to All Things Modesitt, the iOS app. The intent of this app is to provide information about the people, places and things that inhabit the worlds of L.E. Modesitt.

All Things Modesitt, app and blog, is a labor of love. I started my Modesitt journey many years ago with The Magic of Recluce and was drawn in immediately. I have read everything of Mr. Modesitts that I can find.

Naturally, I like some books better than others. Like any other author I have read, I have favorite stories and characters. I hope I have treated and will treat all of his works equally fair.

As I read Modesitt I was awed by the sheer number of names, not only of people and places, but also things like the names of wines, and food dishes. So I set out to build a concordance of all things Modesitt, and while I was at it I decided that you, too might be interested in what I have found. In the app you can find a name and get a brief description of the person/place/thing, plus other information about it, such as what book it is part of. In the description there are links to other persons/places/things, as well as Spoilers in case you dont want to know something.

I have analyzed all of the Imager Portfolio, including Madness in Solider, and made that free with the download of the iOS app. I am working on other series, right now Science Fiction, Recluce and Corus, and will make them available at a later date as an inexpensive in-app purchase. As new books become available in a series, such as Treacherys Tool, it will be added in the next update.

You will find errors. I hope you will post any errors you find in this blog so that I can make the change and update the app. There is also a facility called Local Authoring that will let you make some changes to your local database and then send the changes to me for possible inclusion for everyone.

I hope you enjoy All Things Modesitt and that it helps you as you read his works.
